Hey guys & gals! New shows are rolling in all the time and we’re updating the calendar as soon as they’re confirmed. Be sure to visit the “Shows” page. You can see where we’ve been in the past and scroll to the bottom to see all of the upcoming opportunities to see The Horse Traders LIVE!
That’s right! Most of the tracking is completed on our first EP since “…Duango”. We’ve been in a loft in downtown Huntington, WV recording with the great Max Nolte (Ona, Sweatband) working on 8 tunes which are to be released, both digitally and physically, in the first quarter of 2016. Guest spots include members of Ona, Tyler Childers & the Foodstamps / Deadbeats & Barkers, and more. Look for teasers, videos, songs, and more available soon!
On September 1st, The Horse Traders gathered with the fine folks of Brainwrap Productions in a loft in downtown Huntington, WV to capture some video. Shirts were soaked (it was approximately 90 degrees in the loft) but fun times were had and, without pretension, art was made.

The Horse Traders are extremely proud to be endorsed by their all-time favorite acoustic instrument pickups; K&K Sound!
If you haven’t yet tried one of their pickups for flattop, archtop, mandolin, banjo, upright bass, etc – by all means, do yourself a favor. Hell, Travis used to have one in a ukulele that sounded AMAZING!
Available for pre-order via BandCamp, the new cassette single from The Horse Traders entitled “Take It” comes with 2 Bonus Songs for immediate download. Click “TAKE IT!” below!
Not to sound like a late, great croc-o-phile but, CRIKEY!!! It’s been so freakin’ long. If you think that putting your new project on a good-sounding, playable, vinyl record that anyone would want to hear and enjoy isn’t a labor of love, think again brother (or sister)!!!! It’s a complete and udder pain in the tuckus! Quoted 45 days and received 5 months later, these records are a bit of blood, sweat, and tears…and we’re having a DAMN SWELL PARTY to celebrate! This coming Saturday, March 7th, we’re partying with our friends Tyler Childers & the Foodstamps and Deadbeats & Barkers at The V Club in Huntington, WV. It’s gonna be a bang-up time and you’d do well to be there, if possible. If not, please, don’t hesitate to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to find out how to get a copy of this limited vinyl release. The first 100 copies are in TRANSPARENT GREEN and include a download card and sticker.
Mucho sorry for the lack in posts, everyone! Believe me, The Horse Traders are moving right along. We’ve had some good and bad to deal with recently. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our good friend and bass player, Frank Miller. We love Frank and wish him all the best in his health and happiness.
Like my mother always said, “when one door closes, another one opens”. This could not be more true. While we hated having to say goodbye to such a monster bass player, we are super excited about our new lineup which includes singer/songwriters Patrick Stanley and Andrew Hankins. Both of these fine gentlemen are superb songwriters, singers, and guitar and bass players. We have several shows booked and are working hard on more and more bookings. Be sure to check out the “Shows” section for our full schedule.
